Darul Uloom Academy

In the Holy Qur’an, Allah SWT has introduced two schools of thought to guide humankind.

In the name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

We ask Allah SWT to grant us His kind attention so that we are guaranteed felicity in this World and the Eternal Hereafter.

About Us

The first Islamic university in Nepal

Darul Uloom Academy Kathmandu Nepal was founded in 2018 in a small mosque in the compound of a Muslim colony. Initially, there were 2 teachers and 17 students, and the education was limited to memorization of the Quran (first year of the Fazilat course). Gradually, the quality of education increased every year and now, Alhamdulillah, more than one hundred students are studying here and the number of teachers is eleven.

Currently, education begins with religious studies, progresses through a Quran memorization course, and culminates in the seventh year of the Fazilat course. This course lasts eight full years. We hope to expand the curriculum to encompass the entire Fazilat course in the future InshaAllah. In addition to religious education, modern subjects are also taught (English, computer skills, Nepali, social, studies, science, and mathematics).

DARUL ULOOM ACADEMY

A House of Worship, Learning, and Community

At DarulUloom Mosque, we welcome everyone with open hearts. Nestled in the heart of Nepal, our mosque is more than just a place of prayer—it’s a centre of faith, peace, and togetherness. Guided by the teachings of Islam, we strive to foster understanding, compassion, and unity among all.

Our Mission

To serve the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the Muslim community while promoting harmony and mutual respect among people of all faiths in Nepal.

Daily Prayers & Services

Our mosque is open for all five daily prayers, Friday Jumu’ah prayers, and special community gatherings. We also offer Qur’an classes, youth programs, and educational sessions aimed at nurturing faith and character.

Support our programmes

The Islamic Centre of Nepal consistently depends on the support of believers to organize its cultural programs, including Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan and other Islamic events. Your assistance inspires us to deliver enhanced services to all.
